John 6: 27-40
Devotion
We all need food--and bread has been a staple food throughout history. What good is it to work for 'food that perishes'?
God's will is that we 'see the Son'--that we understand and practice his way of living, that we trust the Father as he did, that we listen to his words of instruction, and witness to his sacrifice. Our life will then be complete, forever and ever.
Jesus said, "This is indeed the will of my Father, that all who see the Son and believe in him may have eternal life; and I will raise them up on the last day." (40)
Prayer
Gracious God, our work is for nothing. Help our belief. May your will be done. Amen.
