Scripture Mark 8: 31-9: 1

Devotion It is sometimes necessary to be bold and deliberate in our profession of Christ in our lives. Jesus explained this to his disciples that certain incidences were about to happen. They were to stand fast and bold in their beliefs, even though it wouldn’t be easy and suffering was to be, to stand firm. Jesus would endure great pain and suffering, and some would hesitate and mis-understand and ask why. But if we follow Jesus in knowing the truth, suffering we too must endure, we will see God in all His glory and splendor. Only God knows the why and by walking in faith, we too will someday find all the answers when we arrive at the Gates of Heaven.

Prayer Precious Lord, let our hearts be open to your Word, let us be bold and stand erect in our conviction of who you are in our lives. Let us grow in knowing more of you and less of us. We fall on our knees in humbleness asking that you have mercy on us for we are only human and cannot see what the Father see’s. Make in us a new and righteous person that we give ourselves to you and to make us good servants for you.
