Scripture
John 6: 16-27
Devotion
Jesus' disciples were in a boat, destined for the other shore, a place they wanted to go. Part way into the journey, a storn raged around them and it looked like the boat was going down. Then they saw Jesyus walking on the water, who says to them, 'It is I; do not be afraid.' So he invited into the boat and they all reach their destination unharmed.
Let's put ourselves in that situation. What are we afraid of out there, rocking 'our boat,' whether its our church, our family, our work or something else? And what's the lesson for us?
For me, it would be--better to have Jesus in the boat than walking out there on the water all by himself.
Prayer
Jesus, come and step into my boat. Amen.
