Scripture
John 10: 19-42

Devotion
2000 years have passed and still we don't believe. Jesus explains he is the Shepherd. "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me..." He's done things only God could do and many still do not believe and question who he is. When he tries to tell them they get angry and threaten him. Is it not true today as then? We've heard him say "I and my Father are one." and yet we still doubt, we still question.
Many today get angry and feel threatened by God's words and actions. We look around the world and see how religion creates hatred and wars. Now just as then we do not want to hear his words. "But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;" What a better place this world would be if we all would listen to what Jesus...what God came to tell us.
Always remember and take comfort in Jesus' words, "...And I give unto them (you who believe) eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."

Prayer
I want to hear you oh Lord; I want to hear you and feel your love. Now just as then I am the deaf, the blind, and the weak in need of your miracles. Please open my ears to your words, my eyes to your truth and my heart to your love. Amen.
