Scripture Luke 18:9-14
The Pharisee looked and acted like perfection, but what was in his heart? Pride, conceit, and contempt for others. God knew what was in his heart, just as he knows what is in yours and mine. We are all sinners who need His help and mercy. I know that I have looked down on someone who was not living up to my standards. I have also been quite proud of myself and arrogant. These are traits that I try to curb, and with Gods help I will succeed.
