John 1: 35-4
Devotion
This is one of the familiar readings about Jesus calling his disciples. John the Baptist introduces two of his followers to Jesus who then go with Jesus to see where he is staying. One of them, Andrew brought his brother, Simon to Jesus and Jesus renames him Peter.
We are reminded again about the role of all of us to follow and to bring others to Christ. It is harder for some of us than others to take that role. We need to be reminded again and again to search for those opportunities and to be the kind of disciples and witnesses that we should be.
Prayer
Dear Lord, help us to remember to actively search for ways to witness and serve. Amen
