Scripture
John 7: 37-52

Devotion
On the last and greatest day of the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice (if anyone is thirsty let him come to me and drink). Who ever believes in me streams of water will flow within him. Jesus is promising to give the Holy Spirit to all who believe, basically telling all He was the Messiah, and when you accept the Holy Spirit—Jesus will bring you eternal life, the two go together. The crowd further questioned Jesus—some were hostile, others were puzzled, while some believed. Had all of them looked more carefully they would not have jumped to the wrong conclusions. When you search for Gods truth, make sure you look carefully and thoughtfully at the Bible, with an open heart and mind. On that day in Jerusalem the Temple Priests and Pharisees wanted the guards to bring Jesus in, but the guards said no one ever spoke the way this man does. They too were becoming believers. It is Gods role to judge others, not ours. Our role as a believer is to show passion and forgiveness. If God seems far away, persist in your search for Him. Remember, Jesus promised (seek and you will find).

Prayer
Breathe on us Holy Spirit that in our darkness we will find Gods Light!!!! Amen.
