Scripture Mark 3: 31-4: 9

Devotion A large crowd was gathered to hear Jesus, He made a point that this was God’s Family and excluded no one. Meaning, (besides his mother and brothers) He cared for all who loved Him. In our computerized impersonal world warm relationships among Gods Family take on major importance. The Church can give loving care that people find nowhere else. Jesus taught people by telling Parables (short stories using familiar scenes to explain spiritual truth in which there is usually one main point). Jesus talked about a farmer spreading seed by hand from a bag, some falling by the wayside, some among the rocks and thorns, others carried off by the wind, and luckily enough would fall on good ground to ensure a harvest. Could this mean that not all of our days on earth would be plentiful? We know that this is God’s World and we have to prepare ourselves for the good and the bad. This is where we come in as believers in Jesus, we need to read the Bible in earnest and see his mighty works of miracles, His forgiveness that brings healing, wholeness and changes our lives for us who trust Him.

Prayer Loving God: May my words today reflect Christ’s Spirit, which brings Love, Joy, Compassion and Sympathy!! Amen.
